I thought a bit like that when I first moved to my village. It took a long time to adjust. Now I like the villagers and am probably a bit small town minded myself. To be honest, I think it's good for you. It's more harmonious, simple and relaxing. It's just the adjustment phase which is difficult.

Sorry to say this but I think you'll be out of luck! Telefonica STILL have the monopoly, no matter what is said and I have never been able to find a telephone company which doesn't have to go through Telefonica first to get the 'phone and no matter who, you will still have to pay Telefonica for the rent of the 'phone on top of your bill! I solved my problem by going on to Wireless and using a VOIP company for my telephone calls from the computer. I think you'd find this easier! However, I'd love to know if a free company ever enters the market. Good Luck!

Consider yourself lucky! And me...well - very jealous. Not a spot of snow in the Netherlands until -you guessed it - the first week of spring. Then bucktloads of the stuff. Spring's a while off yet.

Here's another place to put on your to-do-list!
As we were travelling through Andalusia, a beautiful region in the south of Spain, we passed by Huescar. Looking for a unique location, we found this region, which is 150 km from Granada and the Sierra Nevada. We found cave dwellings, in a beautiful and peaceful environment with countless lakes and parks. These caves have been used by the Moors in the Middle Ages and later as a sleeping-place and as a shelter for shepherds and their sheep. During winter and summer, the temperature in the caves is of 18 ° C up to 20 ° C, cool in summer and warm in winter. After this magnificent discovery, we decided to restore these caves and keep the original rooms, each with a fireplace and chimney. Of course, we added the modern conveniences, a kitchen, a bathroom with jacuzzi, bedroom with a four-poster bed and romantic lighting.
Each cave has its own terrace or garden, barbecue and garden furniture.
We offer you hotel service and serve you a delicious daily breakfast. This is a unique and unforgettable experience, staying in these rustic and romantic caves on a beautiful location with rural surroundings, enjoying the peace and quiet with a view of mountains and olive groves in the valley, enjoying a beautiful sunset. You will be staying within walking distance of the village with bars, restaurants, supermarkets. There you can also discover the hospitality of the local population.
We respect your privacy and are always ready for you with information about the region and its culture.

Experience Andalusia in a way that you will never forget!

Gosh - you're going through the hairdresser blues too! My head looks a bit like the love child of an illicit liason between a marshmallow and puff pastry at the moment... still! I got it cut weeks ago (and I thought the difference bewteen a good and bad haircut was three days...)

You should definately let him have one mullet in his lifetime - why not at euro-footballer-mullet at a tender age?

Sounds fantastic. I'm all for institutional reform making life easier for 'aliens' in foreign countries. In the Netherlands, help services are a dime a dozen...only problem is, though, my Dutch is rubbish. Now, it's true that all Dutch people speak English - 8 years of it is compulsory at school. But since the advent of the law suit for misinformation, help services are no longer permitted to speak English on the phone - even though I know they speak English, and they know they speak English, and they know that I know they speak English and so on. So good luck with Salud Responde - and with your Spanish...

I my pictures I try to offend and and insult fellow bloggers by ridiculing their blog names cleverly by using images.

Hope you're all feeling better soon!
