I'm all for institutional reform making life easier for 'aliens' in foreign countries. In the Netherlands, help services are a dime a dozen...only problem is, though, my Dutch is rubbish. Now, it's true that all Dutch people speak English - 8 years of it is compulsory at school. But since the advent of the law suit for misinformation, help services are no longer permitted to speak English on the phone - even though I know they speak English, and they know they speak English, and they know that I know they speak English and so on.
